ANTM's Cycle 3 runner up YaYa DeCosta-Alafia born as Camara YaYa DeCosta Johnson, has been chosen to star in the Lifetime biopic of the Iconic Whitney Houston.
The 31 year old wife and mother of 1 who is known by most as the runner up in Tyra Banks "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 3 is not to be doubted. Her resume is extensive and i belive this role will put her out there to be recognized by her multiple talents and discipline.
The natural beauty is a native of Harlem New York who not only speaks English but is fluent in 3 different languages. YaYa attended Brown University where she majored and graduated with degrees in International studies and African studies. She has held major roles on Broadway, in television and movies such as Ugly Betty ( Nicole Slater), All My Children (Cassandra Foster) and as the Black Panther freedom fighter ( Carole Hammie) in the award winning"The Butler", just to name a few.
DeCosta's upbringing, book and street smarts enable her to have a clear sense of who she is and what she wants. She is strong willed and goes hard at her craft. I along with millions of others are looking forward to seeing what she brings to role as our beloved Whitney Houston.
